Here are most of the F2 contacts I made on 6M. I had a blast working the DX! This was
the first F2 propogation I've worked on 6M. When I first got on 6M in 1992, all of the
F2 propogation was already gone. When the next cycle peaks, I should be able to work even
more DX. I learned a lot during cycle 23. I now know what time of day to look for Europe,
and I know what time of day to look for Western U.S., Alaska and Yukon Territories. I
also know what is the best month to look for F2 on 6M.
If you look close at my log pages you will notice I recorded the SFI numbers during each
opening. I also did this in my HF log as well. Now I have a good idea what the SFI numbers
have to be to support F2 propogation on 6M.
I would like to improve my 6M setup for the next cycle peak. My plans are to put up a
bigger antenna and hopefully get a brick for 6M. I currently run 50W. I am going to try to get the remaining
countries I need during the next cycle peak to get my DXCC!
